The bill would amend the Michigan Liquor Control Code to allow the Expo Center Complex and the John Lewis Student Community Center at Macomb Community College to sell alcohol.

The Code allows the Liquor Control Commission to issue to the governing board of a college or university a license to sell alcoholic liquor for consumption at specific centers and buildings operated by the university or college. The bill would allow the Commission to issue the governing board of Macomb Community College a license for the sale of alcoholic liquor for consumption on licensed premises that were located at the Expo Center Complex and the John Lewis Student Community Center if the license were originally acquired on the open market at fair market value.
