Protest
Pursuant to rule 3.506, Senator Polehanki submitted her reasons, in writing, for voting “no” on the passage of Senate Bill No. 803 on Tuesday, October 8.
Senator Polehanki’s statement is as follows:
This letter is an explanation of my “no” vote on Senate Bill No. 803 of 2024. Although I am not categorically opposed to the practice of hunting, I cannot in good conscience support the practice of canned hunting. I am opposed to this legislation due to my belief that it promotes the practice of canned hunting in our state. Please include this as an official record in the Senate Journal.
