“Father, in Jesus name, I come before You today asking for Your blessing over the Michigan House of Representatives. Gracious God, You said in Your word that the government is on Your shoulders. God, cover and protect our elected leaders.
Give us the spirit wisdom, knowledge and understanding that we may make wise decisions for the people of this great State. Father God, bless and keep our military, law enforcement personnel, healthcare professionals and all of our front line workers who risk their lives to keep us safe. Strengthen and comfort the families who have lost loved ones from Covid-19. Provide our constituents the peace they need to make it during these challenging times.
Heavenly Father, I ask that the blessing of health, love and compassion flow in this chamber. God, bind us together in the spirit of Love and Unity. These things I pray in Christ’s name, Amen.”

A resolution to declare May 21-27, 2022, as Boating Safety Week in the state of Michigan.
Whereas, There has been a long and important presence of responsible boating safety in our Great Lakes State; and
Whereas, The week of May 21 to May 27 represents the global awareness effort that encourages citizens to make the most of their boating experience by being responsible and reminding all boaters to brush up on the essential boating safety skills necessary to prepare for the boating season; and
Whereas, National Boating Safety Week was originally observed by the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary in 1952 and was expanded by President Dwight D. Eisenhower and enacted into law on June 4, 1958, as Public Law 85-445; and
Whereas, This state is fortunate to celebrate our Great Lakes and the fantastic diversity of water-based recreation we enjoy annually; and
Whereas, During the week from May 21 to May 27, this state’s boating community celebrates Boating Safety Week through a campaign that aims to increase awareness of boating safety practices by collaborating with partners to share local community events, through social media, workshops, and more; and
Whereas, Boating Safety Week is the period of time in North America when people recognize the vital importance of highlighting safe boating practices; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the House of Representatives, That the members of this legislative body declare May 21-May 27, 2022, as Boating Safety Week in the state of Michigan. We recognize and celebrate the importance of teaching safe boating.
