HOUSE BILL NO. 6116

A bill to amend 1921 PA 2, entitled

"An act to promote the efficiency of the government of the state, to create a state administrative board, to define the powers and duties thereof, to provide for the transfer to said board of powers and duties now vested by law in other boards, commissions, departments and officers of the state, and for the abolishing of certain of the boards, commissions, departments and offices, whose powers and duties are hereby transferred,"

by amending section 1 (MCL 17.1), as amended by 2002 PA 369.

the people of the state of michigan enact:

Sec. 1. (1) There is hereby created a board to be known and designated as the The state administrative board of the state of Michigan. is created. The state administrative board shall be composed consists of all of the following members:

(a) The governor, who shall act as chairperson. , the

(b) The lieutenant-governor. , the

(c) The secretary of state. , the

(d) The state treasurer. , the

(e) The attorney general. , the

(f) The director of the state transportation department. , and the

(g) The superintendent of public instruction. , and shall

(h) The chair of the senate appropriations committee.

(i) The chair of the house of representatives appropriations committee.

(2) The state administrative board shall possess the powers and perform the duties provided in this act.
