A bill to amend 1979 PA 152, entitled

"State license fee act,"

(MCL 338.2201 to 338.2277) by adding section 4a.

the people of the state of michigan enact:

Sec. 4a. The department shall offer a credit for or prorate the fee that is otherwise required under this act for an initial license or registration or a renewal of a license or registration for the portion of the effective period of the license or registration that the licensee or registrant is temporarily unable to engage in the practice of that occupation as a result of a state of emergency or disaster declared under the emergency management act, 1976 PA 390, MCL 30.401 to 30.421, or 1945 PA 302, MCL 10.31 to 10.33, or an emergency order issued under section 2253 of the public health code, 1978 PA 368, MCL 333.2253.
