House Bill 5660 (Substitute H-2 as passed by the House)
Sponsor: Representative Jeff Yaroch
CONTENT
House Bill 5659 (H-2) and House Bill 5660 (H-2) would amend Article 17 (Facilities and Agencies) of the Public Health Code and the Adult Foster Care Facility Licensing Act, respectively, to require the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) to submit certain reports to the Legislature and the State Budget Director.
Specifically, the bills would require LARA to submit biannual reports to the appropriation subcommittees for the Department, the Senate and House Fiscal Agencies, and the State Budget Director containing a summary of input from individuals who performed inspections for entities regulated by the Bureau of Community and Health Systems, or a successor agency within the Department. The feedback and input would have to be regarding the adequacy of Federal and State guidelines pertaining to the areas that the individual inspected for the entities described in the bills. The summary would have to include details of the feedback excluding information that identified the inspectors providing the feedback. The summary could be cumulative in nature but would have to be understandable to the general public.
