CONTENT

House Bill 4494 (H-1) and House Bill 4495 (H-1) would amend the Occupational Code and the Skilled Trades Regulation Act, respectively, to prohibit the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) from selling or furnishing a list of information that contained a licensee's or registrant's phone number or email address unless the list were sold to a statewide trade association.

Specifically, except as otherwise provided, LARA could not sell or furnish a list of information obtained under the Occupational Code or Skilled Trades Regulation Act, as applicable, that contained a licensee's or registrant's phone number or email address.

The bill would allow LARA to sell or furnish a list of information described above to a statewide trade association, if the list included only individuals who were licensed in the industry or profession of the statewide trade association.
