ENROLLED HOUSE BILL No. 5244

AN ACT to amend 2020 PA 238, entitled An act to prohibit an employer from taking certain actions against an employee who does not report to work under certain circumstances related to COVID-19; to prohibit an employee from reporting to work under certain circumstances related to COVID-19; to prohibit discrimination and retaliation for engaging in certain activities; and to provide remedies, by amending section 10 (MCL 419.410); and to repeal acts and parts of acts.

The People of the State of Michigan enact:

Sec. 10. (1) This act is effective retroactive to March 1, 2020.

(2) This act does not apply to a claim or cause of action that accrues after July 1, 2022.

 

Enacting section 1. 2020 PA 238, MCL 419.401 to 419.413, is repealed effective July 1, 2023.

 

Enacting section 2. This amendatory act does not take effect unless all of the following bills of the 101st Legislature are enacted into law:

(a) House Bill No. 6128.

(b) House Bill No. 6215.
