Heavenly Father, we thank You for bringing together the members of the Senate this morning. We ask that You grant each member of the Senate strength and courage to serve the communities and the country with wisdom and compassion. We pray that Your Spirit guides their discussions and the decisions made here today, and that they remain mindful of the importance of the work for the common good of those who are served. We thank You for the many talents of these members and we ask for direction on how to best use these talents for the glory of Your work.
We ask that You bless their families and loved ones who accompany them on this journey of service. We ask that You bless the nation, the state, and the leadership on all levels. We also pray for the troops and ask that You keep them safe under Your shield of protection. Please bless them and their families as they continue to serve for our freedom and our liberties.
