A bill to recognize November 25 of each year as the Michigan
day of remembrance of the Holodomor.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
Sec. 1. The legislature declares that November 25 of each year
shall be the Michigan day of remembrance of the Holodomor, the
Ukrainian genocide of 1932-1933, and that the period beginning on
the Sunday before that day through the following Sunday shall be
days of remembrance in this state in memory of the victims of the
genocide and in honor of the survivors.
Enacting section 1. This act takes effect 90 days after the
date it is enacted into law.
