A bill to amend 1998 PA 58, entitled
"Michigan liquor control code of 1998,"
(MCL 436.1101 to 436.2303) by adding section 610c.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
Sec. 610c. (1) Notwithstanding section 609, a manufacturer,
wholesaler, or retailer may provide a special licensee, including,
but not limited to, the holder of a special license to conduct a
beer festival under section 526, with any of the following:
(a) Beer or wine dispensing equipment or cooling equipment for
use by the special licensee during the effective period of the
special license.
(b) A brand logoed tent for use by the special licensee during
the effective period of the special license.
(2) A manufacturer, wholesaler, or retailer that is authorized
to sell alcoholic liquor to a special licensee under this act may
deliver the alcoholic liquor to the special licensee's premises on
the commission's issuance of the special license.
(3) A special licensee shall not sell alcoholic liquor before
the effective period of the special license.
