SUBSTITUTE FOR

HOUSE BILL NO. 6187

A bill to amend 1994 PA 451, entitled

"Natural resources and environmental protection act,"

(MCL 324.101 to 324.90106) by adding section 80158b.

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

Sec. 80158b. (1) The department shall install markers, buoys,

or other signage or verify that sufficient markers, buoys, or other

signage are installed to notify operators of vessels of the area in

which the use of anchors or other vessel equipment is prohibited as

provided in section 80158a.

(2) The department shall provide notice on its website and in

other boating and navigation materials it prepares alerting vessel

operators of the prohibition on the use of anchors or other vessel

equipment under section 80158a.

Enacting section 1. This amendatory act does not take effect
