     A bill to amend 1978 PA 368, entitled

 

"Public health code,"

 

by amending section 17515 (MCL 333.17515), as amended by 2012 PA

 

499, and by adding section 17015b.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 

     Sec. 17015b. An individual who may financially profit from the

 

acquisition and utilization of fetal tissue, or who acts as a

 

supplier or retrieval agent of fetal tissue, shall not provide

 

abortion counseling to a patient. As used in this section, "fetal

 

tissue" means a human fetus in its entirety or any tissue, organs,

 

or parts of a human fetus, including, but not limited to, blood,

 

bone marrow, organs, brain, spinal cord, eyes, arms, and legs.

 

     Sec. 17515. A physician, before performing an abortion on a

 

patient, shall comply with sections 17015, and 17015a, and 17015b.
