Pursuant to rule 1.101, in the absence of the Presiding Officers, the Senate was called to order by the Secretary of the Senate.

The Secretary announced that the following initiative petition has been filed with the Secretary of State:

Legislative Initiative Petition

An initiation of legislation to enact the abortion insurance opt-out act; to require the purchase of coverage for elective abortion in a health care plan to be by an optional rider only; require notice to employees for whom elective abortion coverage is purchased by their employer; and provide penalties for violations of this act.

The Secretary announced the enrollment printing and presentation to the Governor on Thursday, December 12, for his approval the following bills:
