Fr. Thomas Kuehnemund, Pastor of Sacred Heart Parish in Yale, offered the following invocation:
“Lord,
In every generation You raise up strong and talented men and women to lead and guide Your people. You place in them loving hearts and a willingness to sacrifice and to serve. Bless the assembly gathered today as together they enter into discussion and discernment. Keep them always mindful of the importance of their work and may their first desire always be the common good. We bless and thank You generous Lord for the multitude of gifts You have given onto us. May we never take each other for granted and be conscious that the most precious gift You give is life itself.
May God’s peace be upon You and may Your work bear wonderful fruit.
Amen.”
