CONTENT
The bill amended the Foster Care and Adoption Services Act to require a supervising agency, before placing a child in its care, to give special consideration to information that the child might be a victim of human trafficking. If it finds that the child is or might be a victim of human trafficking, the agency must place the child in a setting that provides mental health services, counseling, or other specialized services that are necessary or appropriate for a human trafficking victim.
The bill took effect on January 14, 2015.

FISCAL IMPACT
The bill will have a minimal fiscal impact. It is indeterminate whether the other necessary services referred to in the bill will cost more or less than reunification, adoption, or traditional foster care services.
