CONTENT

The bill would amend the Foster Care and Adoption Services Act to require a supervising agency, before placing a child in its care, to give special consideration to information that the child might have been a victim of human trafficking.  The bill also would allow a supervising agency to find that adoption, reunification, or other traditional foster care services might not be suitable for a child who was a human trafficking victim, and to provide other necessary services for the child.

FISCAL IMPACT

The bill would have a minimal fiscal impact.  It is indeterminate whether the other necessary services referred to in the bill would cost more or less than reunification, adoption, or traditional foster care services.
