     A bill to amend 1893 PA 206, entitled

"The general property tax act,"

(MCL 211.1 to 211.155) by adding section 9l.

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

     Sec. 9l. (1) For taxes levied after December 31, 2011, all

personal property is exempt from the collection of taxes under this

act.

     (2) Personal property exempt under this section is subject to

the specific tax levied under the personal property specific tax

act.

     (3) The specific tax levied under the personal property

specific tax act shall be administered and collected as provided

under this act.

     Enacting section 1. This amendatory act does not take effect

unless Senate Bill No.____ or House Bill No. 4103(request no.

00489'11 a) of the 96th Legislature is enacted into law.
