ENROLLED HOUSE BILL No. 4315

AN ACT to amend 2001 PA 142, entitled “An act to consolidate prior acts naming certain Michigan highways; to provide for the naming of certain highways; to prescribe certain duties of the state transportation department; and to repeal acts and parts of acts and certain resolutions,” (MCL 250.1001 to 250.2080) by adding section 1072.

The People of the State of Michigan enact:

Sec. 1072. (1) Highway US-31 beginning at the intersection of highway US-31 and highway I-196 in Allegan county and continuing north to the intersection of highway US-31 and highway M-45 in Ottawa county shall be known as the “Medal of Honor Recipients Highway”.

(2) The state transportation department shall work with local veterans organizations to develop a separate sign bearing the names of Lieutenant Colonel Matt Urban, Corporal John Essebagger, Jr., Sergeant Gorgon Yntema, and Sergeant Paul Ronald Lambers that may be posted at or near the memorial signage described in subsection (1).

This act is ordered to take immediate effect.
