SENATE SUBSTITUTE FOR

HOUSE BILL NO. 5033

     A bill to amend 1939 PA 280, entitled

"The social welfare act,"

(MCL 400.1 to 400.119b) by adding section 10d.

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

     Sec. 10d. For the purposes of determining financial

eligibility for the family independence program or the food

assistance program administered under this act, the department

shall apply an asset test.
