A SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILL 5962 AS INTRODUCED 10-17-12
The bill would amend the Lottery Act to require the Lottery Commissioner to revoke or suspend a person's lottery sales license if the person (1) is convicted of or pleads guilty to a crime or (2) is administratively disqualified from operating as a merchant under the state's Food Assistance Program or Family Independence Programs, and the crime or disqualification is related to an unauthorized transaction for food assistance benefits or family independence program benefits related to the sale of a lottery ticket.
Under Section 23 of the act, the Lottery Commissioner is authorized to suspend or revoke the lottery sales license of any agent who is found in violation of the Lottery Act or any rule promulgated under the act.

FISCAL IMPACT:
According to the Bureau of State Lottery there is no fiscal impact expected under the provisions of this bill.
