SENATE BILL No. 1027

     A bill to amend 1956 PA 218, entitled

 

"The insurance code of 1956,"

 

(MCL 500.100 to 500.8302) by adding section 203.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 

     Sec. 203. A person who holds the office of commissioner shall

 

not make expenditures for, receive compensation for lobbying from,

 

or be employed by any of the following for 2 years after leaving

 

the office of commissioner:

 

     (a) An insurer or other entity regulated under this act.

 

     (b) A nonprofit health care corporation regulated under the

 

nonprofit health care corporation reform act, 1980 PA 350, MCL

 

550.1101 to 550.1704.

 

     (c) A third party administrator regulated under the third


 

party administrator act, 1984 PA 218, MCL 550.901 to 550.960.

 

     (d) A nonprofit dental care corporation regulated under 1963

 

PA 125, MCL 550.351 to 550.373.
