CONTENT
The bill would amend the Michigan Zoning Enabling Act to revise the deadline for filing an appeal with the circuit court.

Under the Act, if a party is aggrieved by a decision of a zoning board of appeals, the party may appeal that decision the circuit court in the county where the property is located. The appeal must be filed within 30 days after the zoning board of appeals issues its written decision signed by the board chairperson or members, or within 21 days after the zoning board of appeals approves the minutes of its decision.

Under the bill, an appeal would have to be filed with the court by whichever of those deadlines came first.
