CONTENT
The bill would amend the Public Health Code to increase the number of licensed professionals and public members serving on several health professions boards and the joint task force for the licensed health profession subfields, beginning July 1, 2010. The boards include the Michigan Board of Acupuncture, the Michigan Athletic Trainer Board, and the Michigan Board of Respiratory Care.

FISCAL IMPACT
The bill would add members to several health professions boards. These boards incur minor costs related to meetings, so expansion of these boards could increase costs by a few thousand dollars.
