BRIEF SUMMARY:

The concurrent resolution requests the State Officers' Compensation Commission (SOCC), the next time it meets, to recommend a 10% reduction in salaries for legislators, the Governor, the Lieutenant Governor, the Attorney General, and the Secretary of State.  Also, the concurrent resolution urges SOCC to ensure that none of its future recommendations exceed the average increase in state employee pay.

FISCAL IMPACT:

The annual savings to the state would be $1,233,890.  The details are shown below:

If the intent of the concurrent resolution is to include a reduction of 10% to legislative leadership supplemental salaries, the total annual savings to the state would be $1,250,493.  A 10% reduction to supplemental salaries equates to an annual savings of $16,603 as shown below:
