A bill to amend 1949 PA 300, entitled
"Michigan vehicle code,"
by amending section 819 (MCL 257.819), as amended by 1990 PA 168.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
Sec.
819. (1) Except as otherwise provided in subsections (2)
and
(3) this section, revenue from the increases in fees provided
in
the 1987 amendatory act that added this section PA 232 is
appropriated to the transportation economic development fund, and
shall not be appropriated for any other purpose in any act making
appropriations of state funds.
(2) For the fiscal year ending September 30, 1988, of the
revenue
from the increases in fees provided by the 1987 amendatory
act
that added this section PA
232, $1,350,000.00 shall be
deposited in the state treasury and credited to the general fund,
except that not more than $500,000.00 shall be credited to the
gasoline
inspection and testing fund created in section 8 of Act
No.
44 of the Public Acts of 1984, being section 290.648 of the
Michigan
Compiled Laws 1984 PA 44, MCL
290.648, and $100,000.00
shall be used during either the fiscal year ending September 30,
1990, or the fiscal year ending September 30, 1991, for research of
products derived from corn grown in this state for, but not limited
to transportation purposes as described in section 9 of article IX
of the state constitution of 1963.
(3) For the fiscal year ending September 30, 1989, and each
fiscal year thereafter, except as provided under subsections (4)
and
(5), of the revenue from the increases
in fees provided in the
1987
amendatory act that added this section PA 232, $2,500,000.00
shall be deposited in the state treasury and credited to the
general fund, except that not more than $1,000,000.00 shall be
credited to the gasoline inspection and testing fund.
(4) For the fiscal year ending September 30, 2007, of the
revenue from the increases in fees provided by 1987 PA 232,
$6,000,000.00 shall be deposited in the state treasury and credited
to the general fund.
(5) For the fiscal year ending September 30, 2008, of the
revenue from the increases in fees provided by 1987 PA 232,
$13,000,000.00 shall be deposited in the state treasury and
credited to the general fund.
