A bill to amend 1994 PA 451, entitled
"Natural resources and environmental protection act,"
by amending section 40501 (MCL 324.40501), as added by 1995 PA 57.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
Sec. 40501. The department shall perform such acts as may be
necessary to conduct and establish wildlife restoration,
management, and research projects and areas in cooperation with the
federal
government as defined in chapter 899, 50 Stat. 917, 16
U.S.C.
669 to 669b and 669c to 669i, commonly known as the federal
aid
in wildlife restoration act, and with rules under the Pittman-
Robertson wildlife restoration act, 16 USC 669 to 669i, and
regulations promulgated by the United States secretary of
agriculture
the interior under that act. ; and in In compliance
with that act, funds accruing to this state from license fees paid
by hunters shall not be used for any purpose other than game and
fish activities under the administration of the department.
