The bills would amend various acts to make reference to the newly enacted Michigan Business Tax, which went into effect onJanuary 1, 2008 as a replacement for the state's Single Business Tax, and to make other technical corrections.

House Bill 5484 would amend the Management and Budget Act (MCL 18.1268).

House Bill 5485 would amend the Technology Park Development Act (MCL 207.712).

House Bill 5487 would amend Public Act 18 of the Extra Session of 1933 (MCL 125.651), which deals with certain municipal housing programs and housing commissions.

House Bill 5488 would amend the Michigan Renaissance Zone Act (MCL 125.2689 et al.).

House Bill 5489 would amend the Insurance Code (MCL 500.224 et al.).

House Bill 5491 would amend the Michigan Employment Security Act (MCL 421.19).

House Bill 5492 would amend the Michigan Next Energy Authority Act (MCL 207.825).

House Bill 5493 would amend the Worker's Disability Compensation Act (MCL 418.352 et al.).

(MCL 324.8716 et al.).

Senate Bill 933 would amend the Plant Rehabilitation and Industrial Development Act (MCL 207.561), commonly referred to as PA 198.

Senate Bill 934 would amend the City Utility Users Tax Act (MCL141.1155).

Senate Bill 935 would amend Public Act 105 of 1855 (MCL 21.142a), which applies to surplus funds in the State Treasury.

Senate Bill 937 would amend the definition of "business firm" under the Neighborhood Assistance and Participation Act (MCL .125.803).

Senate Bill 938 would amend the Emergency Municipal Loan Act (MCL 141.931).

Senate Bill 939 would amend the Mortgage Brokers, Lenders, and Servicers Licensing Act (MCL 445.1652).

Senate Bill 940 would amend the Public Service Commission law (MCL 460.10o).

Senate Bill 941 would amend the Hospital Finance Authority Act. (MCL 331.4)

Senate Bill 942 would amend the Business Corporation Act (MCL 450.1911 et al.).
