A REVISED SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILL 4846 (SUBSTITUTE H-2)

The bill would amend the Forbes Mechanical Contractors Act, 1984 PA 192, by increasing various license fees for mechanical contractors. The increased fees would be in place throughSeptember 30, 2012, at which time the fee schedule would revert back to the current fee schedule.  (The same sunset date is in place for many of the occupational licenses/registrations under the State License Fee Act, 1979 PA 152,MCL 338.2201 et seq.)

FISCAL IMPACT:
