A REVISED SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILL 4844 (SUBSTITUTE H-2)
The bill would amend the Electrical Administrative Act, 1956 PA 217, to increase various fees for professional electricians, as shown in the chart below. The increased fees would be in place throughSeptember 30, 2012, at which time the fee schedule would revert back to the current fee schedule. (The same sunset date is in place for many of the occupational licenses/registrations under the State License Fee Act, 1979 PA 152,MCL 338.2201 et seq.)

FISCAL IMPACT:
The bill would increase Construction Code Fund revenue by approximately $214,700 in Fiscal Year 2008-09, and by $1.4 million in Fiscal Year 2009-10.
