SUBSTITUTE FOR

HOUSE BILL NO. 5872

     A bill to amend 1994 PA 451, entitled

"Natural resources and environmental protection act,"

(MCL 324.101 to 324.90106) by adding section 20120e.

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

     Sec. 20120e. Notwithstanding any other provision of this part,

after the national academy of sciences publishes a report related

to its project referred to as the "Review of EPA's Exposure and

Human Health Reassessment of TCDD and Related Compounds", the

department shall recalculate relevant cleanup criteria established

under this part based upon the findings of the national academy of

sciences report.
