     A bill to amend 1846 RS 1, entitled

 

"Of the statutes,"

 

by amending section 3q (MCL 8.3q).

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 

     Sec. 3q. The words "written" and "in writing"  may  shall be

 

construed to include printing, engraving, and lithographing; except

 

that  in all cases where  if the written signature of  any  a

 

person is required by law,  it  the signature shall  always  be the

 

proper handwriting of  such  the person  ;  or,  in case he  if the

 

person is unable to write,  his  the person's proper mark,

 

including, but not limited to, a visible fingerprint of the person

 

made with ink or another substance.
