CONTENT
The bill would amend Part 741 (State Parks System) of the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act to designate State-owned land and a recreational trail as the "Fred Meijer White Pine Trail State Park" and the "Fred Meijer Berry Junction Trail".
Specifically, the bill would require that the State-owned land containing the White Pine Trail, which traverses an abandoned rail corridor between Comstock Park and Cadillac, be known as the "Fred Meijer White Pine Trail State Park".
In addition, the Department of Natural Resources would have to facilitate the establishment of a recreational trail that would traverse, in part, the abandoned rail corridor running from White Lake Drive, south of Whitehall, to Lake Avenue in North Muskegon. The trail would be known as the "Fred Meijer Berry Junction Trail".
