CONTENT
The bill would amend Public Act 287 of 1965, which provides for the functions of the State Board of Education and the State Superintendent, to increase the maximum number of members on the Special Education Advisory Committee.
Under the Act, the Committee is to function as an adviser to the State Board in the field of special education. The State Board must appoint between nine and 27 members to the Committee for three-year terms. The bill would increase the maximum number of members to 33.
