A bill to amend 1921 PA 207, entitled
"City and village zoning act,"
(MCL 125.581 to 125.600) by adding section 4g.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
1 Sec. 4g. (1) An owner of land may voluntarily agree to, and
2 the city or village may approve, certain use and development of
3 the land as a condition to a rezoning of the land or an amendment
4 to a zoning map.
5 (2) In approving the conditions under subsection (1), the
6 city or village may establish a time period during which the
7 conditions apply to the land. Except for an extension under
8 subsection (4), if the conditions are not satisfied within the
9 time specified under this subsection, the land shall revert to
10 its former zoning classification.
11 (3) The city or village shall not add to or alter the
1 conditions approved under subsection (1) during the time period
2 specified under subsection (2).
3 (4) The time period specified under subsection (2) may be
4 extended upon the application of the landowner and approval of
5 the city or village.
6 (5) A landowner's rights under this act, the ordinances of
7 the city or village, or any other laws of this state are not
8 limited or affected by the landowner's decision not to agree to a
9 conditional rezoning or amendment under subsection (1).
