SUBSTITUTE FOR

HOUSE BILL NO. 5491

                                                                             A bill to amend 2001 PA 142, entitled                                             

"Michigan memorial highway act,"                                            

(MCL 250.1001 to 250.1100) by adding section 1080.                          

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

1   Sec. 1080.  (1) The portion of highway I-94 beginning at                    

2   exit 98 in Calhoun county and continuing east to exit 110 in                

3   Calhoun county shall be known as the "Underground Railroad                  

4   Memorial Highway".                                                          

5       (2) The portion of highway I-69 in Calhoun county shall be                  

6   known as the "Underground Railroad Memorial Highway".
