        A bill to amend 1980 PA 450, entitled

   "The tax increment finance authority act,"

   by amending section 26 (MCL 125.1826).

               THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

           Sec. 26.  (1) A public facility, building, or structure

 2
       which  THAT is determined by the municipality to have signifi-

 3
      cant historical interests shall be preserved in a manner as con-

 4
      sidered necessary by the municipality in accordance with laws

 5
      relative to the preservation of historical sites.

 6
           (2) An authority shall refer all proposed changes to the

 7
      exterior of sites listed on the state register of historic sites

 8
      and the national register of historic places to the applicable

 9
      historic district commission created under  Act No. 169 of the

      Public Acts of 1970, as amended, being sections 399.201 to

11
