CONTENT


The bills would amend Chapter 17 (Sentencing Guidelines) of the Code of Criminal Procedure to delete and recodify sentencing guidelines designations in some of the sections of that chapter. Several of the sections in Chapter 17 list a number of felony violations contained in Michigan law, specifying their Michigan Compiled Law citation, crime category, felony class, offense description, and statutory maximum sentence. The bills would recodify some of those sections in multiple new sections, as shown in the following table.
