A SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILL 5127 AS INTRODUCED 10-2-01

House Bill 5127 would create a new act to name a portion of I-94 in Battle Creek as the "94^th Combat Infantry Division Memorial Highway."

Under the bill, that portion of highway I-94 beginning at exit 92 and continuing east to the M-66 exit would be designated as the memorial highway. Further, the bill specifies that the transportation department would provide suitable signs to indicate the name of the highway only after enough private contributions had been received to completely cover the cost of placing and maintaining those markers.
