ENROLLED HOUSE BILL No. 5421

AN ACT to designate certain parts and bypasses of certain highways located in certain counties of this state; and to prescribe the duties of the state transportation department.

The People of the State of Michigan enact:

Sec. 1. The part of the bypass of highway US-131 that is located between highway M-115 and Boon road in Wexford county shall be known as the "Sidney Ouwinga Memorial Bypass".

Sec. 2. The part of highway M-33 located in Ogemaw and Oscoda counties between Houghton Creek road and Miller road shall be known as the "Veterans' Memorial Drive".

Sec. 3. The part of highway M-32 located between Ripley boulevard and Bagley street in the city of Alpena shall be known as the "Veterans' Memorial Highway".

Sec. 4. The state transportation department shall only provide for the erection of suitable markers at the approach to a part of the highway described in this act when sufficient private contributions are received to pay the cost of erecting the markers.

 

This act is ordered to take immediate effect.
