ENROLLED HOUSE BILL No. 4609
AN ACT to amend 1957 PA 200, entitled "An act to provide for the creation by 2 or more municipalities of an intermunicipality committee for the purpose of studying area problems; and to provide authority for the committee to receive gifts and grants," (MCL 123.631 to 123.636) by adding section 7.
The People of the State of Michigan enact:
Sec. 7. (1) The intermunicipal committee shall obtain an audit of its financial records, accounts, and procedures not less frequently than biennially as determined by the intermunicipal committee.
(2) The intermunicipal committee shall submit the results of an audit under subsection (1) to the state treasurer.
(3) An audit under subsection (1) shall satisfy all audit requirements set forth in the uniform budgeting and accounting act, 1968 PA 2, MCL 141.421 to 141.440a.
Enacting section 1. This amendatory act does not take effect unless House Bill No. 4244 of the 90th Legislature is enacted into law.
This act is ordered to take immediate effect.
