Senator Walter H. North of the 37th District offered the following invocation:
Dear God, we thank Thee for this beautiful December day here in our State Capitol. We thank Thee for this opportunity to close out the year's legislative session. We ask that Thee be with the members who are not here today and their families, so they have a safe holiday season. When we return in January with renewed spirits to tackle business that did not get completed in this session, we remind ourselves that we not only serve the people of this great state, but more importantly, we are Thy servants. We ask Thy blessings on this session. Amen.
Recess
Senator Rogers moved that the Senate recess subject to the call of the President.

Senator Rogers offered the following concurrent resolution:

A concurrent resolution prescribing the legislative schedule.
Resolved by the Senate (the House of Representatives concurring), That when the Legislature adjourns on Thursday, December 9, 1999, it stand adjourned until Tuesday, December 28, 1999, at 11:45 a.m. for the Senate and 11:30 a.m. for the House of Representatives; and be it further
Resolved, That when the Legislature adjourns on Tuesday, December 28, 1999, it stand adjourned without day.
Pursuant to rule 3.204, the concurrent resolution was referred to the Committee on Government Operations.
