CONTENT
The bill would amend the Michigan Right to Farm Act to state that the Act would preempt provisions of a zoning ordinance or noise ordinance that conflicted with the Act. Currently, the Act states that it does not affect the application of State and Federal statutes, including local zoning laws.
The bill would define "zoning ordinance" as an ordinance adopted under the County Zoning Act, the Township Zoning Act, and the City and Village Zoning Act.
