A SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILL 4766 AS INTRODUCED 6-9-99

The bill would amend the Minimum Wage Law of 1964 to prohibit local units of government from imposing a minimum wage requirement that was greater than that prescribed in the act. A "local unit of government" would mean any political subdivision of the state, including cities, counties, townships, villages, school districts, and intermediate school districts.
