A SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILLS 4393 AND 4394 (SUBSTITUTES H-1)
The Michigan Vehicle Code (MCL 257.319 et al.) provides for the mandatory suspension or revocation of a person's driver's license when that person is convicted of certain alcohol-related driving offenses. House Bill 4393 would expand these provisions to specify that, if a person's driver's license was suspended or revoked due to an alcohol-related driving offense, the secretary of state would also be required to suspend (or revoke) a person's privilege to operate an ORV and a snowmobile for the same period. House Bill 4393 and House Bill 4394 are tie-barred to each other. House Bill 4394 would add this provision to the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act (MCL 324.81140a et al.)
