A SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILL 4253 AS INTRODUCED 2-11-99

House Bill 4253 would amend the Revised School Code to require that a school board (either of a school district or of a charter school) ensure that the number of special education students assigned to a teacher in a general education classroom not exceed the maximum number allowed to be assigned to a teacher in a special education classroom. The bill would define "special education pupil" to mean a pupil who receives special education services.
