A SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILL 4204 AS INTRODUCED 2-9-99

House Bill 4204 would amend the Revised School Code to require that school officials allow school-age children who are enrolled in non-public schools, or who are home-schooled, to participate in any extracurricular activities offered by a school in the school district where the student resides. The bill would define "extracurricular activity" to mean any activity engaged in by pupils of a school district that is not part of the school district's academic curriculum but is in some way sponsored or endorsed by the school district.
