A joint resolution proposing an amendment to the state con- stitution of 1963, by amending section 13 of article V to require a special election to fill a vacancy in the office of state sena- tor or state representative under certain circumstances. Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the state of Michigan, That the following amendment to the state con- stitution of 1963, to require a special election to fill a vacancy in the office of state senator or state representative under certain circumstances, is proposed, agreed to, and submit- ted to the people of the state: 1 ARTICLE V 2 Sec. 13. The governor shall issue writs of election to 3 fill vacancies in the senate or house of representatives. Any 4 such election shall be held in a manner prescribed by law.
