        A bill to amend 1979 PA 152, entitled

   "State license fee act,"

   by amending section 25 (MCL 338.2225), as amended by 1988 PA

   461.

               THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 1         Sec. 25.  Fees for a person licensed or seeking licensure as

 2    a cosmetologist, manicurist, ESTHETICIAN, electrologist, or

 3    instructor, or a person licensed or seeking licensure to operate

 4    a  cosmetological  COSMETOLOGY establishment or school of cosme-

 5    tology or seeking a student registration or transfer, or seeking

 6    a permit to conduct an apprenticeship program under article 12 of

 7    the occupational code,  being sections 339.1201 to 339.1218 of

 8     the Michigan Compiled Laws  MCL 339.1201 TO 339.1218, are as

 9    follows:

 1      (a) Application processing fees:

 2      (i) Apprenticeship program..............................$ 25.00

 3      (ii) Cosmetologist, manicurist, ESTHETICIAN, electrolo-

 4          gist, or instructor.................................  10.00

 5      (iii)  Cosmetological  COSMETOLOGY establishment........  25.00

 6      (iv) School of cosmetology.............................. 100.00

 7      (b) Examination fees:

 8      (i) Complete examination for cosmetologist, manicurist,

 9          ESTHETICIAN, electrologist, or instructor...........  25.00

10      (ii) Written portion only...............................  15.00

11      (iii) Practical portion only............................  15.00

12      (iv) Examination review.................................  20.00

13      (c) License fees, per year:

14      (i) Cosmetologist, manicurist, ESTHETICIAN, electrolo-

15          gist, or instructor.................................  12.00

16      (ii)  Cosmetological  COSMETOLOGY establishment.........  25.00

17      (iii) School of cosmetology............................. 100.00

18      (d) Student registration or transfer fee................   5.00

19         Enacting section 1.  This amendatory act does not take

20    effect unless Senate Bill No. _____ or House Bill No. _____

21    (request no. 01792'97) of the 89th Legislature is enacted into

22    law.
