CONTENT

 

The bill would amend the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act (NREPA) to repeal and reenact, by inserting them into the NREPA, current statutes concerning the powers and duties of the Department of Natural Resources (DNR); waste management; air resources protection; environmental funding; soil conservation, erosion, and sedimentation control; sewage disposal and waterworks systems; fertilizers; and point source pollution.

 

The bill also would add that the Michigan Natural Resources and Trust Fund Board would have the powers and duties of a Type I agency and that it would be administered under the supervision of the DNR. (The Board was transferred to the DNR as a Type I agency by Executive Order 1991- 31).

 

The bill is tie-barred to House Bills 4348, 4349, and 4350.
